November 28, 200916 yr I'm unable to install the Windows version 9.40 Demo of X-Plane 9. I downloaded the "Installer 2.05 Windows" file from the X-Plane site. I run the installer and it always fails at the same point. I've attached a text file containing a snippet from the end of the log file that shows where the problem occurs. I have no idea why I'd get the error message "Service Temporarily Unavailable (#503)" at the same point of the install every time. Odd. I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium x64. Using a search of the forums here, I found one other thread about the Demo not installing but it didn't describe a problem like mine. Any ideas/suggestions?

November 28, 200916 yr Hi, Mardon and everyone.You are not alone. I have a very similar problem, and a number of the people that I interface with have it.Laminar needs to move away from their procedure of updating, or at least give us the flexibility to download using our browsers. I basically gave up on upgrading, and stopped using Xplane until someone at Laminar gets some sanity. TV
