December 3, 200916 yr If FS isn't installed in Program Files, and none of your utilities are either, then you never ever need to run any of them "as administrator". I don't. But then I always use two separate drives -- one for the operating system and one for FS and all of its add-ons. ;-)I use two separate drives as well, one for windows and FS Utilities, and another for all my games. Actually, I have had problems running programs outside of the "Program Files" folders and on other drives when I don't select "Run as Adminstrator." One game that I can think of right now is "Battlefield 1942." It is installed on my D: drive, and if I don't run it as an administrator it crashes when it loads. So just to be safe, I'd run programs you trust as an administrator, no matter where they're installed.
