July 10, 200322 yr Hello simpilots, I have fs2002 pro. Can anyone tell me why the Dash 8-100 does not appear on the aircraft selection list? I downloaded a new panel and sounds that had to be put in the Dash folder, but couldn't find the plane. How do i get it to show up on the aircraft list? Or can I?thanxGeo
July 10, 200322 yr Hi,You need to edit the air file, get Aired > http://members.dsl-only.net/~eagle/Change the aircraft type from 2 AI, to 0 Normal.Alternitively there are air files to make it flyable in the file library. > http://library.avsim.net/sendfile.php?DLID=11529Although I would suggest download the excellent "fanda" dash 8 package, it is a great plane with a very good panel. >http://library.avsim.net/sendfile.php?DLID=26699Dan.
July 10, 200322 yr Just to elobarate a bit, the dash-8 100 you see around you is an AI aircraft, and was not intended to be flyable. That's why you have to download files to make it so. I enthusiastically second Dan's suggestion of getting the Fanda Dash 8. You'll need to spend lots of time learning how to use it, but it's very well worth the effort.

If your willing to bite the learning curve you will not be disappointed. A very, very realistic model. I have a payware Dash 8 and never use it, as I am always flying the fanda Dash 8.
