So all of a sudden about a week ago when I switched the network cable on my machine from one card to another my ASA keeps saying it needs to be activated. I am not sure why this is happening or how to remedy it... It pops up asks for activation I say ok and it says activated. Then randomly it will happen again. Any ideas?Thanks in advance,-P

Hey Jim,I am upgrading from my RC build of Win 7 to the production build I got in the mail a few weeks ago. Coincidentally within 20 minutes of installing Win7 my NForce network controller went down and I lost boths NIC's. Quick trip to Best Buy and 2 gig cards later and I am up and running. Trying to install ASA now but need to re-install ASV first because I have the upgrade version. Will let you know once I am back up and running. As for expecting me to remember, surely you jest LOL ;)-P

I am getting the same error-and at random times. Then it tries to activate-states that it has been installed on too many computers. I just reinstalled it on a new computer with Win 7 64 bit.It doesn't do this all the time but some of the time. I also have one other add in that is also giving me random activation errors-but also at random times.

Actually-I still have problems. It connected -went thru everything-started the weather-then I got the activation error.I have turned my firewall completely off-any other ideas?Thanks for your help.

On a flight when this happens, close ASA and attach the ASA_Log.txt file. Usually there is a clue in there.Thanks,
