December 7, 200916 yr Can anyone recommend a system tool for automatic shutdown of programs and services for Windows 7?I have tried to use SmartClose, but stopping services by editing a Notepad file is not satisfactory.
December 7, 200916 yr Commercial Member Windows 7, unlike previous versions, really does not require you to shut down services prior to launching a game.As long as you have control over your startup programs (type in msconfig in the search bar and look under the startup tab) and only have what you need in there you will find there is no need to shut anything down. In fact you are only looking for trouble shutting down services in Windows 7. Konrad
