How to take-off in fs2004 without speeding?

Featured Replies

Hi everyone I just wanted to know how to take-off in fs2004 with aircraft like the sga 737 and sga md-80's. For some reason ever since I used the thrust reverser the base throttle on my joystick ( lowest the throttle switch will go on my joystick) the throttle power would be 20% to 30% and when putting it under the thrust reversers would activate. So I am just wondering how to take-off with the throttle like this because when I want to take off and put my throttle up the throttle would go over 100% they aircraft would reach speeds of 200mph+ when taking off with flaps and all. Please Help.

Rdu-I have a freeware guage, the JELAIR Vspeed-gauge (with aural callouts) for FS2004, initially released in june 2005, installed in all my jet aircraft that gives me V-speed callouts so I know exactly when to rotate at any weight and flap setting. The gauge is by Jacob Larsen, and I believe available here in the AVSIM library, or elsewhere. The technique is to rotate at the appropriate speed, retract flaps as speed increases, and hold a rate of climb that does not exceed 250 KIAS below 10,00 feet, at least in the USA. Autothrottle is also helpful, though if you set climb power and your pitch attitude correctly, it isn't neccesary unless you are in tight or busy airspace. Hope that helps.Cheers,

Hello,

like this because when I want to take off and put my throttle up the throttle would go over 100% they aircraft would reach speeds of 200mph+ when taking off with flaps and all. Please Help.
Trying to understand ....Do you mean .. when you push your throttle just up the point of the reverser activation you have full power ?If this is the case this abnormal .. and you must calibrate again your throttle.(windows panel or FSUIPC if you had use it for set your reverse)If it's not the case .. please manage your power (speed) with your throttle.Full power is rarely needed for take off with any plane.Read the checklist for the plane (if provided)Usually many FS2004 planes are already overpowered :)Regards.santa2.gifGus.
