Default Garmin GPS or Reality XP

Featured Replies

Hi Guys -I was wondering - If i had a plane with no flightplan following autopilot, can these GPS make the plane follow the plan that i input to them? For example, i have the Aerosoft F16 in FSX, but although it has basic AP functions (heading, alt hold, etc), if i add the GPS to the .cgf file, will it follow the plan if i input one?How do the Reality XP gauges compare with default? Can i install R-XP as a pop up rather than build it in to the panel? Thanks for your help.A

Can the autopilot in the F16 follow a VOR radial? If so, you may be able to get it to work. Try asking here if someone has done it already: http://www.simforums.com/forums/forum_topics.asp?FID=12

The Reality XP GPSs are designed as frontends to the official Garmin GPS trainer, so they are very realistic. The installer adds the GPS as a popup to aircraft that you specify. If you want panel integration, you can use something like FS Panel Studio (or a simple text editor).
