July 16, 200322 yr I was reading a post the other day about extending the quality of my ground textures out farther than the default. The post suggested editing these lines in my FS2002.cfg file:TERRAIN_DEFAULT_RADIUS=55000.50000TERRAIN_EXTENDED_RADIUS=10000.000000TERRAIN_EXTENDED_LEVELS=0It worked wonderful...Through doing some more testing I found that Mipmaping made FS2k2 run allot smoother which brings me to my new problem. It seems mipmaping uses the same default distance as the textures used. Everything looks fine untile I'm in a turn then I notice the ground textures blurring out at around 5 miles out from my aircraft. What/whare is the setting that I can edit that will extend the blurry mipmaping effect out farther from the aircraft??? I know there is a setting somewhare that would do the same thing as the setting above did with the textures...Thanks for any feedback... July 16, 200322 yr I am curious about this too. I have similar problems with mipmapping in fs2002. I hope that fs2004 will greatly improve on this. Mipmapping seems to be better at higher altitudes than lower ones.
