December 18, 200916 yr Hey all,I wanted to do some aircraft painting but im not quite sure how to convert the textures to DX10 compatibility? Thanks in advanced,Josh KatzHey Josh, If your referring to FSX painting, the save format is the same for DX10 as it is DX9, it's DXT5.dds in some cases but you can get away with DXT1 (more compressed w/o Alpha) for others. The paintkit read me explains which types for which format. You seem to maybe be leaving some info out as to some results you may have seen trying other methods or maybe having an issue with an alpha channel, but no, why would it be white? DX10 Preview is garbage, it's broken and not sure why you would want it on, but to each their own. FSX textures that have aplha channels (Night lighting) should be saved as DXT5.dds period, regardless of DX10 preview. One has nothing to do with the other in other words. i9 10920x @ 4.8 ~ MSI Creator x299 ~ 256 Gb 3600 G.Skill Trident Z Royal ~ EVGA RTX 3090ti ~ Sim drive = M.2 2-TB ~ OS drive = M.2 is 512-gb ~ 5 other Samsung Pro/Evo mix SSD's ~ EVGA 1600w ~ Win 10 Pro Dan Prunier
