FS9.cfg - getting there.

Recommended Posts

I would like to import my FS9.cfg from my XP machine to my Windows 7 machine. In Windows 7 the FS9.cfg is in App Data/Roaming etc but i can only reach "user" After that no APP DATA or Roaming appear as an option. What am I missing here and is this even possible.Bill

Hi - you'll need to open a system window (My Computer). If your menu bar is not visible, click the Organize button on the toolbar, go to Layout, and click Menu Bar. Then, click on the Tools menu command-->Folder Options-->View tab-->click Show Hidden Files, Folders, and drives radio button-->OK. After you do that, you will see the App Data folder inside your User Name folder-->open it, you will see Roaming--open Microsoft, then open FS9, and you will see your fs9.cfg file. You will also see your FSX folder listed in the Microsoft folder, one level up from your current level.Cheers!Jim

Thank you Jim. Perfect guide.A little follow up question. Can I import my XP settings as I have tweaked the fs9.cfg and the panel.cfg of the PMDG 737-800. Can I also import my FSUIPC settings for Joystick calibration, buttons, switches etc? Thanks,Bill
