Problems after FSX reinstall

Hello guys and Happy Christmas to you all. After continuous problems with FSX I decided to do a reinstall. No real problem with the reinstall operation except that resetting all the options took forever. However, I have now been left with a problem using my Saitek X52 Pro stick. The MFD (multi function display) does not connect to FSX. I have looked on the Saitek forums and there is one post saying to check that a folder X86_microsoft.flightsimulator.simconnect....... exists in the Winsxs directory. Do a search for simconnect and/or simconnect.dll in your C:\directory (not in your User account)(searches usually default to your User account). You will find them located where they should be located. Make sure you have at least SP1 installed. I don't have the Saitek joystick so can't help you getting the multi-function display to work. You might do a search here or in the hardware forum using Saitek as your keyword and maybe you'll find a solution there.Best regards,Jim
