In the first tutorial flight is says to press the PFOF button at 1500 agl to activate the vert prof mode.In the second is says to arm the PROF mode prior to takeoff so that it engages at 1500 agl.Are they both right?Thanks Nicholas

Yes, it's company specific. The only difference between the two methods is the minimum altitude you can engage the autoflight system.With Nav or Profile armed the minimum altitude for A/P engagement is 400ft
