December 27, 200916 yr Hi all! I bought PMDG MD-11 some weeks ago, and updated it to the latest version found on PMDG website. I'm running Windows Vista (x64) SP 2, and FSX SP 2 with a Microsoft ForceFeedback joystick with no FSUIPC installed. The problem I'm having is: when I land (CATIII landing or "manual"), with spoilers and reverse thrust armed, and autobrakes set (MIN, MED or MAX), the brakes don't turn off! I move the button to "off", but I keep getting a red FS message at the bottom letf corner of the screen saying "brakes", and no matter what I do it stops the a/c completely.I've tried pressing the brakes button, setting off my joystick, pressing "."... It doens't work! The autobrake button on the MD-11 panel has no effect on the brakes whatsoever. Can anyone help me to fix this? It's really annoying... Thanks in advance people! Thanks in advance people! The red brakes message shouldn't have to do with the auto brakes of the MD-11. As far as I have always noticed, it only appears when you are actually pressing the brakes whether they're on your pedals, joystick or the . button etc. Sometimes I've had it stick and the brakes remain active, and usually just resetting my control device takes care of it.

Thanks in advance people!I would install FSUIPC, I just like having it there knowing it is there. Try reassigning your brakes in controls to nothing in the brake section except Ctrl + . to parking brakes appy and relese. December 28, 200916 yr Author I was just making some tests on my FS.When I land without autobrake, the problem doesn't happen. I just gradually press the normal brakes, the airplane reduces and I'm able to taxi. When I land without my joystick (turned off), but using autobrakes, it still happens. Seems to have nothing to do with the joystick.Should I uninstall the MD-11? Or maybe FS? Is FSUIPC really necessary? Thanks! Bruno Romano - Sao Paulo, Brazil.
