  1. That's Brazil's Independence Day. You'll never forget it know... hehehe...

Very good suggestions indeed. I would be pleased with a real-time boarding feature.Actually I think the breakes are also degenerative in the Maddog 2008. Once I did a bad landing in Santos Dummond (SDU-RJ, shortest runway operating with 737s nowadays - please correct me if I'm wrong), and got hot breakes. They totally lost effectiveness...
  3. I have and old rig and I use the smallest resolution for 3D Clouds, 2D Clouds and Water. What I've noticed: still better looking clouds then FSX default, and IMPROVED frame rates. It just gets a little ugly when flying into the clouds. Well, it happens. I just look into the cockpit at those times, and forget the clouds hehehe...
  4. You're right. I don't customize my weather also. I use real-world weather, and in this case, I get surprised sometimes by sudden high-low visibility changes when descending. In fact, I don't even use the "real world weather" because of the realism factor. I just don't like to spend my time using creativity to set up weather. If there was a button called "Surprise-me!" instead of "real world weather" I would use it too, as long as it didn't make it snow in Brazil, hehehe...I wonder if REX or ASE weather engines correct this issue.
  5. Guys, Sorry for this, I don't know if it is inconvenient. I would like to use this thread to ask a question related to the issues discussed here that is in my mind, and I don't thing it is worth creating a new topic. It's about these visibility settings in layers on FSX weather.Yesterday I was flying into Gale
  6. To get support it is important to follow the forum rules.http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtopic=245586Sign your posts with full real name...You'll certainly find help here.
  7. Uh! From the MD-11 Advanced Tutorial:"Proceeding with the preparation of the aircraft for flight, both pilots have to be in their seats. In our case you’re still allalone on the flight deck so for the next few pages you won’t operate the aircraft exactly as on a real flight. This willchange sooner than you might think, but more on that at the appropriate point."Hmmmm....Multi-crew operation for all PMDG planes? A virtually modeled co-pilot? I mean, they could be talking about FS2Crew or something, but I don't know. It seems like if they knew something we don't.Anyway, I think that's it. One of them is an aircraft, the other two have been suggested in a/c manuals: a weather radar and a co-pilot type of thing.

Altough you said "recreate" airlines operations, there's a great fictional Air Berlin livery availabe at the library made by Todd R. Fleck. You could try it, and maybe get "Aerosoft German Airports" or something like that.My most enjoyable experiences with the Maddog are in very short flights... It's awsome!
  9. I strongly advise you to check on My Traffic 5.2B...Great support, crowded airports, and the best: the easiest thing on FPS I've ever seen.
  10. wooowww... Things keep getting better each time I log in the forum!Maybe a scenery? o.OOOOhhhh I see! A new flight simulator! hehe... kidding...

After reading this: http://forums1.avsim.net/lofiversion/index.php/t239736.html I decided to go for the Leonardo Maddog. Both Coolsky and Leonardo are good airplanes, but they do serve different types of customers. It's indeed a hard choice!

Just for the reference: my FPS with the Maddog are closely the same with PMDG MD-11.MD-11 is a little better, 747 I belive it's worse. LVD 767 will give you the best frames.Of course, the VC quality of the maddog is a lower standart then the PMDGs. At the end, it's all about witch plane do you prefer: long haul? short flight? Mcdonnel or Boeing? As someone already said, the a/c you listed are great. Just be careful with CS tough.Cheers!
  13. It's all but jokes. Just jokes!Where's everyone sense of humor?People call it the "Politically correct" around here. Opinions you should have and things you should not say. That's the worst of the dictatorships.

As you can see by all the posts, PMDG has a big name around. In my opinion, PMDG is the best top-level simulation addons developer for FSX on the market. You CAN'T go wrong if you pick a PMDG airplane. But I have to state my great satisfaction with the Leonardo Fly the Maddog 2008 Pro. It is, indeed, a portover from FS9, there is no developer support (but big community support), and it is heavy on frames. On the other hand, it's the most complex airplane I have ever seen for FSX. It's an old school one, wich means you can spoil up your engines very easily and it has a "step learning curve", harder to get it flying then the 747, 767 and MD-11. There's a great failure mannager (I think it's better then PMDGs MD-11, for example), fully functional VC cockpit (including 3D knobs and swichtes), and you can get Navgraph Database for it (it uses PMDG's).For you to have and idea, I was taking off from Saint Louis yesterday and I did two mistakes: accidentally override the A/T with manual throttle in "full power" (no idea how that happened) and I forgot to monitor the engine data (N1, N2, EGT - they were all above maximum). I lost my engine no.1 shortly after take off and had to do an emergency landing back on STL =DIt gives you some headaches to get it working properly (it's not a "ready to consume" addon like PMDGs are) but it is all worth it.I recomend both PMDG MD-11 and the LSH Maddog 2008. (I've never flew the 744)
  15. I say go with MyTraffix X 5.2b (Simmarket). It's the one I use and I'm very happy with it: Simple, good frame rates (that's really important), crowded airports.I don't care too much about realistic schedules. And I heard they are difficult to develop, and may not be that fun. The realism I expect from my AI traffic program is like: ok, I just wan to see thousands of Fedex planes in Memphis. Are they there? Good. Deltas in Salt Lake City? They're over there too.You can get that with MyTraffic. The resolutions are not the best, so if you have a mid-performace system, that's the one for you.If you have a high-end system, you should take a closer look at UT2...That's what I think!
