NGX COOL FEATURE

Featured Replies

Im guessing thatt he NGXwill have real time re-fueling like the MD-11? This I think would be more important on the 737 than the MD11 as you have to turn it round sometimes in only half an hour.Another cool thing that I was thinking of the other day is realtime pax and baggage boarding. You set how many Pax and Bags and click START BOARDING, and your aircrafts weight will increase untill all bags and pax are on bord and it will say BOARDING COMPLETED.To add more realism to this feature you could increase the boarding speed if the both the rear and front doors are open and reduce it if only boarding through the front door. And you will need to complete it by having an UNBOARD option once their all boarded. This will make turnarounds more realistic because if you ask me they are currntly the most un realistic portion of flight sim. And in the 737 your turnaround will sometimes be longer than the actual flight. After the boarding is finished you could get presented with a virtual "loadsheet" To help with FMC entries, Kinda like the one on the Jetstream.Others say what you think, PMDG think about it.

You actully have this feature in maddog 2008

Nice. PMDG should do it, along with working circuit breakers to go with their failure modeling.

I might have said this before, but I'd love to see degenerative brake performance. Slamming on max brakes on a short runway at 220 knots should leave more than just an "overheat" warning; some products actually have your brakes burn themselves to slag and grow useless on you. It's the little things like that, that make you consider flying more akin to an Airline pilot that I'd like to see.

Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory.
The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire.
To make a small fortune in aviation you must start with a large fortune.

There's nothing less important than the runway behind you and the altitude above you.
It's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air wishing you were on the ground.

+1

Would be great (all these ideas), I look forward to see what the new failure module includes (the one originally slated for J4100) assuming it is comes with the NGX.

Very good suggestions indeed. I would be pleased with a real-time boarding feature.Actually I think the breakes are also degenerative in the Maddog 2008. Once I did a bad landing in Santos Dummond (SDU-RJ, shortest runway operating with 737s nowadays - please correct me if I'm wrong), and got hot breakes. They totally lost effectiveness...

If, and only if, it's optional. Sometimes us online flyers need to get going ASAP and such a feature, if not an optional one, would be a right royal PITA!

Count me out of this one. I want a flight sim not a passenger sim. I don't even like virtual cabins. The quicker they can release the better

I agree with Bill to where if they had it, it would have to be optional since it would or could clash with addons that already have it. I use FSP and can set passenger load times from instant to 20 minutes. For me that's enough for this feature. Of course I bought FSP for other reasons such as the career path and failures, maintenance and upkeep etc... but it was nice to see it. Oh and last bonus to FSP that I just actually started using is the Radio chatter to where you can tune in a second radio to hear pre-recorded real chatter. It adds some coolness to everything.I'm not trying to sell FSP here but it does bring up a small point to where there are other programs that has it, so if I were a developer I would rather leave this feature to those that have it rather than trying to out do it. It could cause headaches down the road and I rather see PMDG spend their time on their strong points on bringing us the reaslism of the systems that they're know for and then getting it to us as fast as possible of course :(Adding features like this would slow that down and would hate to see it substituted from their stronger talents.

Sorry... But is it not that we ask for ?? realism.. To have PAX / Cargo load time is more realism than open dors / close dors options... And the oppertunity to have less addons running in the background will increase FPS in FSX...Therefor I would like to see PMDG have theese featurers in the NGX - But if they disired not to add it I will deffently still purcase the NGX - I really looking forward for a good NGX for FSX

Thanks for quoting me Leif, it helped me see I spelt "Known" wrong in that line :(It's just my opinion which is why I said I'd like to see it but only if it were as an option since it would interfere with other addons I use that do the same. I just think they have enough going on that their time could be better spent. To me it's a different type of entity it's own. What would you like to see? A timer interface of some sort? I just think of it as a developer might. 1st it's like I said, a seperate entity. Second with the great job they do modeling systems, there will always be the ones to get more hung up on what wasn't modeled so I would just leave this for a different addon developer since there are several, FSP is just the one I use that happens to have it. It's a good idea yeah, but I think if they added something small that, that users have shown it would then be picked apart like I'm sure the EFB will be (unfortunately). People will then want Passenger Ambient noise, then a list of scenerios that have things like a sick passenger that needs immediate treatment, a hostile passenger that needs a smack, etc, etc...All of these things are already done and have been improved on and will be again by other developers focused on just it. So as I said, it's my opinion that they focus on what they're best at and IMHO leaders at.As for frame rate goes, I don't see any drop running FSPassengers and it adds a lot more than I descibed above. As for features for the NGX, I hardly doubt their still taking requests and adding something now is questionable. In a future product? Perhaps, but I still would use the best passenger addon out there, kind of the same reason I only fly PMDG AC (Well, except a couple single engine types :( ).
