Flashing Blocks in VC after re-install JS41

Featured Replies

Hello fellow JS41 users,I reinstalled the JS41, along with update patch. In VC, I am getting flashing/random blocks that are 1/4 size of screen and flash in all 4 quandrants. Outside view is not affected. I am not having any problem with other add-on payware programs or the default aircraft in FSX. No drivers have been changed or updates.I remember seeing this type of a problem some time back but cannot find the thread that listed a "fix".You help would be most appreciated. Thanks, cthiggin

Hello stevehow,I set to "medium" both inside and out and it appears to have fixed it. Maybe just a visual, but the vc does not seem as hi-def - did you experience this also.Hopefully, there will be a fix for this soon.THANKS for your help and temporary fix.Tom Higginbotham

Hi tomi only turned off the Vc icing, the fix didn't say to turn down the external settings.i haven.t had the block problem since, but i am having all kinds of other issues.just one of them is losing the Menu Bar and ATC text.just a blank box..Hmm.don't have any problems with any other aircraft.i run a quite high end 4.0ghz machine, think the J41 just pushes it a bit far.shame it's a really nice turboprop. best wishes steve howlett

Hello Steve,I'm going to fly tonight and see IF all is well with JS41 - I too have a high end oc'd machine and ALL my aircraft run well - including the Cessna Citation Jet which is a bear on fps's - and the Pilatus-12.No annomolies on any of these. I change the external settings and see how she goes. Other than the flickering blocks, all the controls, Menu Bar, ATC did fine. Thanks and I'll get back later.Tom Higginbotham

i know this temporary fix works, but maybe somebody could confirm that this bug is being worked on. noticing and fighting icing even from the inside was one major reason why i bought this magnificent bird!christopher volle

Hi tomfrom what i can see..PMDG are working on a patch to fix the issue.it seems that FSX has a limit on how many parts you can use and the J41 exceeded that.turning off the icing put's it back under.these guys are one of the best teams,so shouldn't be too long. best wishes steveUK Ps god bless America :(
