757/777 Trim

Recommended Posts

I bought the 757 and 777 because they seem like the best versions of these aircraft for FS9, the only thing is the trim settings dictated by the FMC in both aircraft seem a little off. The 777 seems to need more trim as it takes a fair amount of yoke pull to keep it on the pitch bar and the 757 feels like it needs less as it is already taking off slightly before VR. I'm very familiar with the PMDG and LDS boeings and the trim feels great on those as it takes very little yoke pressure during initial climb out. Just an observation that I'm wondering if anyone else deals with. Overall I'm pretty happy with both A/C; thanks. Also, I read numerous post about the absence of paints for the 777. If anyone would be so kind to PM me I'm only looking for two that I can't find. An American Airlines and Continental; thanks again.

HiNot sure about the 777 but as for the 757 the FMC computed trim is a little high. I have original boeing trim data sheets and they tend to give approx 3.5-4 units of trim depending on take off weight and CG.The 757 will also try to pitch up slightly before Vr, which as far as I am aware is normal even in the real aircraft, which requires a slight push forward on the control column until Vr.Hope that helps.Darren
