WX program

Featured Replies

Hiya, Can someone tell me if there is a weather program available for FS2002 that generates random realistic global weather, and allows the printout of weather charts, as well as being able to export this data to FSbuild 2?Cheers

If it's random weather it's not realistic weather. If it's realistic weather it's not random weather.Active Sky wxRE will give you realistic worldwide weather and export it to FSBuild, so "two out of three ain't bad."Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Support

Is there a website? When I say random weather, I mean that I don't want to have to sit down and set all the perameters manually (That would be quite tiresome on a longhaul flight). Do these weather programs have charts that can be printed so I know what the weather is doing?also, is there a website?cheers

Hi there,www.hifisim.com for the website. ActiveSky wxRE includes dynamic TAF processing, meaning that it downloads and processes forecast information to simulate changing weather conditions realistically (within reason of course). wxRE also includes occasional randomization of wx parameters to induce realistic uncertainty and slight variation between actual and reported conditions. It also includes a weather briefing page where you can get full wx conditions for your flight and print them out. Since this is all based on actual real-time data, you can also print out real charts from NOAA (www.aviationweather.gov) or other wx sources, and the information will match (assuming you're flying in LIVE realtime mode).Hope that helps!
