AP1 and AP2 ?

Hi, i have just bought the A320 PRO with the PSS panel but what is the difference between the AP1 and AP2 auto-pilot buttons??Regards

One digit? The Airbuses normally use AP1. When you are set up for an automatic approach and landing via ILS you turn on the second AP to have multichannel redundancy. I strongly recommend you go through the admittedly puny manual and do the tutorial. Airbuses work a bit differently than the Boeings.DJ

Not an Airbus expert, but normally, autopilots are linked to their respective sides. AP1 is linked to the Captain's avionics, AP2 to the First Officer's.But, as always, read the manuals.Best regards

Boeing used to use L C R. Now with everything generic it is 1 and 2.I like L C R better. Boeing just works better then Waterbus.JimCYWG
