AFCAD for FS2004 - When?

Featured Replies

Anybody know when the new AFCAD will be released??I noticed that there will still be a heavy need for it besides from not THAT large amount of parking spots at major airports, the multiple runway use isnt up to reality.Say for instance if O'Hare got 2 runways open, the two active runways are used for both landings and takeoffs. So you will still have to hold short waiting for landing AC - altho allowed to position and hold.Wierd that MS didnt correct this since it doesnt make sense.

The REAL AFCAD from Lee Swordy will have to wait until the SDK comes out from MS. The main trouble is that when you now put a gate or a new parking space or move a taxiway or runway it also moves the visible scenery, they are tied into each other. Sounds cool, but it will require a completely new program to accomplish this. Currently there is no word on when or if an AFCAD from Lee will be made available for FS2004.[div align=center][link:www.jetdoc.com/STO/]Visit The Bookstore & Gift Shoppe][/b

Hmm interresting. Thanks for the link :)The way I see it, its gonna be alot better having them tied together with the visible scenery albeit longer time until AFCAD 2k4 will be out.Beeing able to create new default taxiways is quite an improvement without having to create seperate scenery.
