Is FSX.CFG Case Sensitive

Featured Replies

Just a quick question - does the case matter when adding keys and values to the FSX.CFG file?To give one example, searching the Net for some suggestions on Bufferpools last night, I found "BUFFERPOOLS", "BufferPools" & "Bufferpools" being quoted as the key to enter by different posters. Associated with it, I found "Poolsize" & "PoolSize" being quoted to enter the value. Would these all work the same way, or are some of them in reality placebos (i.e. values FSX will ignore).

So seeing the various keys should tell you that the config is case insensitive. Just be careful when entering values and don't enter the letter L for the number 1 and the letter O for the number 0. Best regards,Jim

Not sure it is case sensitive. I've used upper and lower without any propblems on many occasions.IAN
