HiFi - ActiveSky Advanced

Featured Replies

Hello,I would like to offer an apology to the entire HiFi Team for the reason listed below.I reinstalled FSX and all my addons (numerous times) due to hardware/software upgrades, in an attempt to get the very best from FSX. I installed HiFi's ActiveSky Advanced upgrade from AS 6.5. I forgot that I asked for and received a refund for ActiveSky Advanced some time ago, due to issues I was having with the product. So I have been using this product without paying for it, although it was not done intentionally, I find myself in an embarrassing position of using software I did not purchase, for that I apologize.Although I am able to again purchase the upgrade option, I have purchased the FULL version. I offer the additional $10.00 as a way of apologizing for the improper/unauthorized use of your product. It was never my intention to use software I did not purchase, I should have removed the software from my system when I received my refund. Not sure why it was not erased, I'm just glad I found the problem.

Hi,You and I have not always agreed on things in the past, but I do appreciate your honesty and your high standards. When I issue a refund I pretty much expect that the customer has or will have uninstalled the product in question. With ASA I have the option of de-activating the key so that it no longer works.I think that you will find the B433 works a bit better than earlier releases and know that we are presently working on SP2.

Hi Jim,The installed product was removed from my system at the time of refund, I did however forget to erase the install file, I never pickedup on the fact that I was later using unpaid software since the key continued to work. It wasn't until I got a message during my latest install that the license key has already been activated several times and to contact HiFi support. When I checked my records for purchase info to give HiFi tech support, I found that I received a refund for ActiveSky Advanced and should not have been using the product. Again I apologize.Yes Jim, there have been instances where we have disagreed on things. However, I find myself in agreement in regards to the B433 update, it has made substantial improvements to ActiveSky Advanced and I now find that I am unable to do without this addon.Thank you
