January 30, 201016 yr Do you have default weather? You can 'fine tune' weather by going into 'World\Weather' and choose 'User Defined\Custom\Advanced'. You then set cloud layer and type (cumulus) and 'percipitation' (snow in this case). Then you go 'visibility' tab and set BASE altitude to 0 ft (zero ft). Looks like you have it set to just above the airplane. There is some 'snow blowing' produced by the aircraft prop wash (test by shutting engine off). Let us know if you fixed this. Then to learn all about (any subject) but in this case 'weather' go to the 'Learning Center'. You don't have to have sim running to go read the topics. Just navigate to where FS9 is installed, then look in 'FSweb' folder. You can dbl-click on any '*.htm' file to open it. Best to start in 'Getting Started' folder. It's all there. Have fun.CBNapamule

February 2, 201016 yr Hi Ian,That may not have done it. Go to ASG, then Browse, Category Snow Textures and chose Snow Set 1 or Snow Set 2. Then Send to FS. Now start FS and see.

February 2, 201016 yr It's something else then. Maybe a search in this forum will pull up something. I know a long time ago this was an issue.

February 3, 201016 yr Hi.Sorry, I'm not at home at the mo' (at work...) so I have to think via memory which doesn't always come out well! It looks to me as though the problem is related to the camera, not to the 'plane or the weather. I haven't seen anything like that but then I'm relatively new to FS9. Some basic things you might want to try:1. Have a look in the view... options menu (Alt+V, O) to be sure there's no weather related setting in there. (I don't think there is but best to be sure).2. Copy your FS9.cfg file to another (safe) folder. Delete the original & start FS9 so it rebuilds a clean FS9.cfg, then check to see if the effect is still there. You can put your preferred FS9.cfg back in afterwards.3. Use only default scenery & settings (I suppose with the clean FS9.cfg) and have another look.4. Roll back your Nvidia driver and... have another look.5. Thinking about config files, isn't there a weather.cfg in the same folder as FS9.cfg. Try looking for the original on the installation disc. That could be a real pain- I think most such things are stored in .cab files but it might be worth hunting down a clean one.If nothing else, you'll eliminate a few possibilities!
