FSX constantly reloading scenery during flights ...

Featured Replies

Hi everyone...I just built a new dedicated FSX system and the only thing I have running on it is FSX. I did a virgin install of FSX Gold w/Acceleration PackWhenever I start a flight at any airport, once the scene and aircraft have loaded, the sim will stop (usually a few minutes after the inital load) and it will reload the scenery. It'll sometimes do this 3 or 4 times during a flight. My new system is as follows:i7 920 @ 2.8GhzGigabyte GA-EX58-UD5 X58 motherboardCOOLER MASTER V8 RR-UV8-XBU1-GP 120mm Rifle CPU Cooler 12GB OCZ Gold SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC12300)WD 300GB SATA 3.0Gb/s Velociraptor x4WD Caviar Green SATA 3.0Gb/s 1.5TB x6Galaxy nVidia 285 GTX 1GBThermaltake 1200W PSUWindows 7 Professional 64-bitAs you can see, it's a very robust system and doesn't lack in power, speed or capacity, but yet when I run FSX, I keep getting these episodes where the sim will stop, the screen will go black and the scenery loading dialogue will pop up and reload the scenery. It only takes an instant for it to reload, but it's frustrating to have it happen at all! It happens at any airport (both default and add-ons)Any advice would be greatly appreciated!Thanks!- Alex

Alex,Do you have your clock synchronized to real time via FSUIPC?

Russell Johnston

Do you use FSUIPC or any other add on that keeps FS clock sync'd with the PCs system time? Try to disable this feature. In FSUIPC you find this setting on the Misc tab.EDITED: Sorry for double advice. To slow posting ;-)

Thanks guys... I'll take a look and make sure that setting is disabled in FSUIPC..I'd have never guessed that's what might be causing it! :( - Alex
