  1. The Navigraph upgrade works just fine in P3D...
  2. Actually... It's COMMERCIALIZATION and marketing that perpetuates the stereotypical Christmas holiday as a cold weather event. Some cultures don't even recognize Santa as being a part of Christmas and, of course, some cultures don't even celebrate Christmas at all. It's all relative to what you grew up with. You live in Minnesota - a state that barely has time to defrost in the summer months. You naturally associate snow and cold weather with Christmas, however when I lived in Hawaii and Guam, we focused on the "spirit" of the holiday (gift-giving, goodwill towards others, etc..) and less on the temperature. You don't equate Christmas with snow when you live in a place where the average year-round mean temperature rarely dips below 70ºF. Its all relative.
  3. July is July... no matter where you are in the world... seasons are different in each hemisphere but the calendar months are not based on seasons. It's winter in Australia, but it is still July 5th. You naturally associate July with warm weather because you live in the Northern hemisphere where that is and always has been the norm. Someone who lives in Sydney will naturally associate July with winter because that's what they are used to. They don't celebrate Christmas on July 25th.. they celebrate it on December 25th the same as you do.
  4. Check the date for tomorrow.... then you'll have your answer! B)

  6. My guess is that stuff is done in post-production using Adobe After Effects... it's definitely not in FSX, though.
  7. Its all explained here... http://forum.avsim.net/topic/422133-sky-textures-for-enb-series/
  8. I wouldn't go so far as to say "..in FSX history... but they definitely get my vote for "this year!" :-)
  9. Why not just select the option "Pause at Top Of Descent" in the PMDG options... that way you'll never miss it
  10. In the aircraft.cfg.... in the [General] section... change "atc_model=B77L" to "atc_model=777" That should fix it.
  11. Only if you want the photo ground scenery...
  12. Pretty much all of Tokyo city... I don't think it extends all the way to Narita, but maybe he'll update it once Narita is released. He seems to update this scenery every few months. He also has Yokohama (which you should use along with Tokyo city) Osaka, Kobe, Nagoya, and Kyoto
  13. Try this.. its freeware!! http://fsx.o.oo7.jp/index.htm Click on the FSX logo at the top, then on the next page, click "Tokyo"
  14. You'd probably do better to ask this in either the "Unofficial Orbx Forum" here on Avsim or over at the official Orbx Forums... they're pretty responsive and will help you figure it out! Good luck!
  15. ATC rarely, if ever, uses suffixes... IRL, they'd just say "Traffic is a Boeing Triple 7" or "Caution wake turbulence - departing Heavy Triple 7" or something to that effect...
  16. It performs EXTREMELY well and is on par with FlyTampa, Orbx and FSDT in terms of detail! I get butter-smooth performance with both the PMDG 777 and the NGX there. It's a MUST BUY! It not only covers the airport, but the ENTIRE city!!
  17. Saab 340 please! :-)
  18. Bonkster replied to bukeyolacan's topic in PMDG 777
    +1
  19. I use the Logitech G35 7.1 Surround Sound headset... Awesome quality, USB plug, easily holds my Track IR TrackClip Pro, very good, sensitive microphone... less than $100
  20. It's just the -300 &-300ER model files... nothing to do with the base package (though you need the base package to use these models)
  21. You can adjust the position of the door on the AXE using the AES Help Aircraft configurator. If you move the position of the door outward a point or two, that will eliminate the water shield from coming into the cockpit.
  22. Very well said!!
  23. Actually, the WOAI packages use few, if any, PAI models. Most are from AI Aardvark, AIMalcontent, DJC, The FruitStand, as well as a few from lesser know modelers here and there. The folder names for each aircraft give the clues as to whose model is used for what.
  24. It's technically not considered a stick, but a side yoke... and It's actually MORE comfortable than a standard yoke. It's very ergonomic and very natural to use. You'll never want to use a standard yoke again!
  25. Just got the e-mail this morning! Downloaded and installed and it is spectacular! One of their best yet! Super smooth on frames and the eye candy is simply stunning!
