I am absolutely excited about this release! The VA I am flying for has a lot of intersting routes for the Q400, so I can´t wait to jump into this very nice cockpit!

Of course I am! FSX lacks regional aircraft, and especially turbo prop ones. It'll sure feel more accurate flying an Dash 8 from Vienna to Innsbruck than doing that route in an A320, I guess. Plus the previews I've seen so far let us hope for some really cool innovations.

affirm... by the way what VA you are joining with?

Yup, not too happy with the VC in Q300 for FS9 although the realism got so many praises.. If you take a look at their facebook page, they are aware their fs9 product wasnt a top notch in terms of VC.. I really appreciate the developer is willing to improve the area that has got so many critics by many.

Yeah at least old video from July already shows their Q400 pretty complete so I would guess it should be done soon.

Whenever it gets released I'm going to study this plane properly, I've already flown one time in Q400 IRL and next summer will have two more times. With reduced amount of free time I prefer doing shorter flights and Q400 is just perfect for them, will probably be flying island hopping around Hawaii.

The Q400 is top of my wish list as I like short flight, but it''s not only that, this aircraft could bring a new level to FSX.

The one thing I'am not happy with but let's hope the wait is almost over is they hinted on face book that they tried to get it out for Christmas and it read like it would be with us this month. OK I want it right not like the joke A320 that came out last year. But I just hope it's soon.

Flight Orbx ENG with UK2000 airports in the Flybe Q400 is perfect to me.

Me too - it's on my 'instant buy' list. We've been really spoilt for choice with FSX releases over the last year;-)

this is the one of the most excided addon for me. other is pmdg 747

While you are waiting you can use the couple of free DASH 8's in the AVSIM library. Of course they are not complete but will give you a taste of what you will get when the "full" version comes out.

...Hold on, there are a number of Dash 8 aircraft in the Pilot Shop on the Flightsim site, some costing over 200 dollars! The cheaper ones are also fairly expensive, so what is the deal?

The most excited I've been since the Pheonix Sim 747. (we didn't have much back then ) :-)

I'm so excited I visit avsim daily to look for any news.

Spending every bit of my free time fine tuning my FSX.

Buying OPUS and some new scenery.

All for the Q400

I sincerely hope that there is a way to just load an FSX flight plan and hit CTRL-E to start the engines, I am a little bit tired of those planes where you have to throw 30 switches before you can taxi :-)

This might not be for you.... hehe

Then again a lot of complex planes can start with ctrlE

As much as I would too appreciate this, I'm pretty sure it won't be possible, and then again, I don't mind. It's a plane in which I am planning to do flights no longer than maybe 45 mins, so a quarter of an hour for starting up from C&D, programming FMC etc should be possible.
