Doug,I didn't find one under Local_Machine but rather under Current_User.(I am using WinXP with Admin privilidges.)Should I just delete the whole Flight Sim folder, or just the file found within 8.0? Or maybe something else?

If you have FS2004 installed delete only the 8.0 folder. If you have no flight simulator installed you can delete the Flight Simulator folder.
