FS2004 Real Weather and FPS

Featured Replies

Hiin fs2002 I allways fly real weather realtime, but with the graphic setting to te left, mainly because Im interessed in the efects of the weather in the flight and not in the visuals, i.e real world weather provides me winds, pressure, visibility (not clowds), temperatures, but I don't have clowds in the sky for that efect, altought managing to select runways, reduced thrust settings, cruise altitudes.... weather and graphic settings are independent, and because of this I don't get any drop in the FPS either with or without weather.I've heard that real weather in fs2004 is very FPS intensive, does this mean that the settings for both weather(the downloaded one) and graphic are coupled to each other? or are independent?Thank'sSantos(LPAV)

I do not think it is a problem with FS2004, I get the same frame rates with REAL WEATHER sometimes, and sometimes it drops, It just depends on how many layers Real Weather makes. There seem to be more clouds sometimes and that hurts your fps by about 3 or so somtimes more if it is really cloudy and depending on your settings. I use it and love [email protected]
