February 24, 201016 yr Using the default ATC in FSX I am able, by selecting Default Speakers for Sound and a USB Headset for Voice, to have engine and external sounds played thrumy speakers and the ATC voices thru my headset. This enables ATC to be clear and understandable. However, when I run RC4 I still get the ATC voices played thru the Speakers Can anyone advise me how to replicate the standard setup ?Many thanksGeorge

What I do to get RC4 to the headset is to select the speaker device in FSX. Note this is NOT the default device. In the dropdown list there will be another entry for the speakers. Select that as it tells FSX to use the speakers no matter what the default device is.Then using your control panel change the default device to Headset. Go fly - RC4 will now be on the headset and FSX on the speakers. In Windows 7 you'll have a volume control in the mixer for RC4 one it starts running so you can control the volume to it.Change back to speakers when you are done flying. Hopefully one of the future RC versions will let us select the output device.
February 25, 201016 yr Hi,I'd like to reinforce this request. It would be really nice to have the option to redirect the sound output from RC to another sound card. Right now it's quite difficult to understand the ATC, especially with some of my add-on aircraft, quite noisy in the cockpit. The workaround with FSX is possible, but has to be done everytime we start FSX and undone after we close it. It's just no right.Regards,Marconi MSFS 2020 Windows 10-64 Home Intel i9-9900K @ 4.7 GHz OC NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 RAM 32.0 GB

On Vista, XP, you may just have to use the master volume control.<br />
