February 25, 201016 yr I successfully transported the B1900D to FSX, but am wondering how to install the liveries I had. Can someone help?
March 2, 201016 yr Forgot to sign.Dan ColeHi Dan, I'm only answering because I like your name ;-) haha, kidding of course since this may not be 100% accurate.Transporting an addon to work from one version of FS to the other is pretty amazing that you pulled that off. I would have thought the coding and modeling wouldn't allow such a thing, not to mention the differences (if any) in the panel.cfg, fsx.cfg etc...Liveries on the other hand are easy. You just need to convert the textures to .dds format. I'm not really sure how that would work out though since most are scrambled with the current format but worth a shot. There are a couple youtube videos as well as my paint tutorial in the general section that may give you some ideas with using DXTBmp.exe. Check it out, and read the "Save As" section for more info. i9 10920x @ 4.8 ~ MSI Creator x299 ~ 256 Gb 3600 G.Skill Trident Z Royal ~ EVGA RTX 3090ti ~ Sim drive = M.2 2-TB ~ OS drive = M.2 is 512-gb ~ 5 other Samsung Pro/Evo mix SSD's ~ EVGA 1600w ~ Win 10 Pro Dan Prunier

It will install in an FS9 directory, then just manually move the livery folder installed to the appropriate FSX directory and modify the aircraft.cfg.If you do not have FS9 installed, run the installer. You will get an error message about aircraft.cfg, but the bitmaps will be installed to program files/aircraft/pmdg express B1900C/. Move this texture folder to your FSX B1900 installation aircraft folder. Then manually modify aircraft.cfg to reference this folder in a new livery section. March 4, 201016 yr You don't need to convert to DDS.Good to know. I don't have FS9 installed anymore so wouldn't have know this. From running a few different AI programs that use older FS9 skins however I should have know this. I have however been meaning to convert them anyway, because the FS9 textures "DO" slow things down vs DDS.Dan = I'd still like to know how you converted an FS9 product for FSX. i9 10920x @ 4.8 ~ MSI Creator x299 ~ 256 Gb 3600 G.Skill Trident Z Royal ~ EVGA RTX 3090ti ~ Sim drive = M.2 2-TB ~ OS drive = M.2 is 512-gb ~ 5 other Samsung Pro/Evo mix SSD's ~ EVGA 1600w ~ Win 10 Pro Dan Prunier
