Hi AllI have been using tile prox from its arrival ,its a wonderful program that i have had a lot of enjoyment from but it can become a bit daunting Now i have discovered ,an alternative that beats in my oppinion all the rest.with no blurries ,no hassles, clear crisp scenery,May i say right now i am just a happy customer that feels he has hit the jackpot. The name of the program is SIM SAVVY I got 11 complete states of west usa for $200, this guy Larry isnt after making a fortune he is making super scenery at a super price ,and is already producing the east coast states, you dont have to hang around for years for the next batch coming along.Included with the 11 westcoast states is a 283 gig hard drive containing the software that you get to keep, take into count the cost of the hard drive and your scenery cost is a fraction of what the others are charging and better in my oppinion.have a look at his web page what you see is what you get, give him a go he deserves the plug i have given he has made my flighsim experience all i ever dreamed of DON

Hello Don,Out of curiosity, I have given a look at this "SIM SAVVY" product... I have to say I am a bit confused, but since you have it already, maybe you can shed some light on the following oddities that I have found at the web site:1) There are no information about the size of the scenario2) I have found nowhere the detail about the '283 GB' HD which should contain the maps3) There are no information about the level-of-detail of that scenario4) It is not explained whether the scenario includes landmarks and it is autogen compatible or not5) There are no mails in the forum, only a few images posted by the author6) As the images are obtained [quoting]: "... from aerial photos taken by the USDA National Agricultural Imagery Program and in the public domain ..." I would say those are public-domain images, or not?7) There are no details about the company which is selling this product (address, location, etc)Cheers,Anubis

Hey Anubis, in answer to your queries:Its about 150GB for the west USAIts supplied on a Lacie500 GB desktop hard driveIts at 2metre per pixel resolutionThere are no included autogen files, but landmarks showThe source images are public domain ( if you know where to find them) Its made by a guy called Larry , in Durango, Colorado. He's really cool and straight up and you should have no worries dealing with him. It's a great product and very good value for money, when finished it will be only about $8 per state....Whats not to like!Cheers, Mark

Thanks Mark! I agree it is great in terms of price, still I believe I can obtain better images tinkering with TileProxy. Had that product AutoGen as well, i would have been totally different...Anubis

Hi Anubis, I agree, that with timne and patience, you can generate better scenery with tile Proxy. BUT : it just took me about one solid week to do the Dolomite Alps, imagine how long it would take you do the whole USA. I use it as background for areas where I dont have better photoreal coverage, so in effect, I have the whole USA ( or will have when it completed) in Photoreal, with certain areas layered over the top in better res, such as my Megascenery or FSdreamscapes Utah. It works pretty well and looks fantastic.I simply dont use autogen with photscenery, I thinkit looks unrealistic, also I use tweaks in the .cfg file that are not mutually compatible for using both. But thats just my preference. Have a look here at some of my screenshots to see how real my FSX world looks without autogen: http://s499.photobucket.com/albums/rr353/CoBMrTube/?start=0 Cheers,Mark
