March 9, 201016 yr Real short and simple.I think I'm nailing this down...for the past hour KTUS and surrounding areas here have been very IFR (low solid overcast, rain, maybe 2 mile vis) and yet ASE after going through its updates and all shows from KTUS as 22017KTS 10SM BRKN065 16/01 A2979?Huh?Looking at the last update it was 4 minutes ago. Upon refreshing the weather for updates, the weather seems "stuck on "BRKN065". Upon launching ASE depicts the weather as reported via automatic downloading including the BRKN065 cloud base, so I can't fault it for that. I shut ASE down, bring it back online, goes through its updating and after so many tries in about an hour it never shows anything but the same BRKN065. The time DOES change on the last update info line - just that the weather does not!Exactly what (settings) is preventing me from acheiving accurate weather updates though? I think that is where my problem lies. It's as if every flight orignating from the airport is ALWAYS BRKN065 - it never changes...at least it hasn't in the past hour. The report never updates. ASE window shows synthesis active and download active in green at the very bottom so I guess it has to be a setting somewheres. Either that or Tucson International is asleep at the switch!I have gone back to FSUIPC settings and cleared out the weather numerous times (unregistered version) but it makes no difference. So again, what is causing me not to receive an accurate weather update from KTUS? BTW - this is for FS9.
March 10, 201016 yr Author Just did a quick search for low vis and found CYRL. Went there (took a minute to figure out and get the right weather) but it did it. Perfect IFR and just as reported. So ASE is displaying the weather correctly AS PER THE INFO IT HAS on my setup. So is it KTUS's reporting that's flawed? Geezum, I hope not. I just went back to KTUS and yep - the weather has still not changed "as reported"!Can anyone confirm this? If so then it's not on my end.

It's KTUS's reporting...it has changed quite drasticaly over the last few hours and KTUS is coming through with reports indicating as such and ASE is modeling it to a tee. Case closed I guess! 11:15pm - gotta go fly!
