March 10, 201016 yr Hey guys,I recently installed the addon scenary for VTBS(Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport). It is originally for FS9 but it works for FSX except for some bugs that occured to me and I wanna discuss them with you guys:1. As you can see from the picture below, a green layer(I assume it is the default landscape) seems to overlap with the ground of the airport.2. The gears sink into the ground?3. When saying the name of the airport, ATC seems to refer to it as VTBS instead of saying Suvarnabhumi Airport. So, above are my confusions. Hope you guys can help me find some solutions to these.Thank you very much.
March 10, 201016 yr 1. I have seen that sometimes with FS9 airport scenery the problem seems to be based on ground-level scenery object polys mixing with the bglcomp (taxiway/apron/runway) scenery and sometimes the graphics can't keep track of the layering right. I tried various changes to flattening and playing with the ground poly elevation but never could fix it.2. This is normally due to changing the airport elevation from default, but since VTBS is not in the default I would guess some other flatten issue.3. You need to use editvoicepack4 to add "Suvarnabhumi" to the ATC phrase dictionary.Maybe someone else has looked at this airport in detail and has more insight.scott s..
