March 11, 201016 yr Windows 7 does have .net but a few months ago I ran into a similar problem where it was turned off and had to turn it on again. If you go to control panel and click on "Programs and Features", you will have a link on the left side called "Turn Windows features on or off". For some reason the check box for "Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.1 was unchecked and once I checked it I got my problem straightened out. (Was a 3rd party app hack for FOV for a game). Again, I have no idea if it comes off, or what would have shut it down, but this may help others that run into this problem and where to check.PS. If this option is off, then trying to install .NET will just show the installer disapearing without error message, it will just vanish which was a little annoying of windows in trouble shooting the problem. i9 10920x @ 4.8 ~ MSI Creator x299 ~ 256 Gb 3600 G.Skill Trident Z Royal ~ EVGA RTX 3090ti ~ Sim drive = M.2 2-TB ~ OS drive = M.2 is 512-gb ~ 5 other Samsung Pro/Evo mix SSD's ~ EVGA 1600w ~ Win 10 Pro Dan Prunier
