Reconnection to MFS - FSUIPC

How do I reconnect ASE to FS9 and refreash the weather once I close and restarted FS9 without restarting ASE?All those refreashing buttons dont seem to do it, or is it possible?

Hi,Single computer or network install? If FSUIPC and AS are communicating properly then things should re-connect without a problem.

Single computer install. Was happening in ASA too but never bothered to investigate. FSUIPC always connects initially but if I close FS ASA/ASE would need to be restarted. All other modules that use FSUIPC dont have problem connecting even when networked from a Win98 client.

Well, after closing and openning FS9 numerous times and checking the weather screen, World->Weather, it seems ASE is indeed connecting, verified only by ALT-TAB back to ASE to cross reference the wind direction in ASE to that of FS also that "user defined weather" has being set as reconnection to FS does not display the scrolling green text of FSUIPC connection and cloud depiction seem to vary from reconnection to reconnection.

I have this exact problem. I have to start Flight Simulator first then ASE once flight is loaded. It never clicks to "user defined weather" by it self. I have to set it manually. I am on a single computer as well. What I typically do is load my flight, clear all weather, start ASE and the weather will load. But if I start another flight the weather will not load. Even if I let it sit for ever it wont change the weather. I know that others have had this problem in the past but not sure if it was resolved? This is for FS9.Joshua,

Yah Josh I forgot to mentionn that ASE seems to be making only one update, the initial connection then no more, not sure about this one but I flew a long flight yesterday with on obvious update from ASE with default settings. Aslo affect reconnection that way, ASA after initial connection, it was obvious.

I get updates, the weather is what it supposed to be. Just something is missing from the start. I feel that I am doing it the hard way.

HiSame problem here.I cannot get weather from ASE after shutting down fs9 and restarting fs9.I see that ASE knows my location because If I click on MAP (on ASE) it will show my current location, but no information that ASE weather is injected to FS9.What should I do. On ASV6.5 if I press refresh weather updates in fs9.But no success with ASE.Only after closing ASE and restarting, weather works OK.ThanksEdin

Hi,Single computer or networked install? On the report screen is the current location shown?

Hi Jim.I'm at work now but as I remember report screen is showing correct situation.Single computer installation. What should be correct procedure in case that fs9 is closed and again restarted, without closing ASE?ThanksEdin

When I set a new flight plan, I always before close my FS9.So this is my error?I have to leave open FS9, with alt + enter?

This happens to me too.Never has the weather user definited automatically.I repeat, there is a connecting problem ASE / FSUIPC in FS9.

Edin,You should be able to re-start FS and the connection between AS and FS should be restored.
