Hello Geofa:In a locked thread (thank goodness), you made the following very helpful statement of which I see no controversy:"Many users avail themselves to the "view unread posts" function of this forum and thus keep up with all forums."It is amazing what one can miss. I have gone through the ordeal of keeping a running tabulation day by day of where I leave off relative to day and time each day for years in peeking at the forums in which I am interested. The function you mention would be such a timesaver. I am going to have to reexamine all of the provisions this site offers and see what else I am overlooking. In scanning the links, I do see, "View new posts", but have overlooked "view unread posts."I did enter "View unread Posts" in the help option, then clicked on "Mark all forums as read and return to index."I then went back to the "View new posts" link, and everything was empty until a few moments later whan the latest post was made.Am I correct in assuming that the combination of the "View new posts" along with the "Mark all forums as read and return to index" is what you are talking about? If not, is there an even better method which actually has the "view unread posts" text, and if so How do I access it?Your comment bore some postive fruit for a futile thread before closing the link. Thanks loads!Respectfully:RTH

Sorry-I am away home for a week working from an iphone and can't see so clearly-you are correct-it is the "view new posts"..I frankly am not sure about the "mark all forums as read and return to index"-I am not sure if I ever set that. However, clicking on the "view new posts" does in fact give me only posts that have been posted since last read. There is lots to find with this new forum software..
