March 26, 201016 yr I was just wondering if this will help the frame rates at Cloud9's KLAX? Mods...I hope this is not overstepping my bounds here and if I am I apologize in advance. I did borrow/modify the code from a batch file that FSDreamTeam wrote and applied it to KLAX but I still am not sure if it will help. If anyone knows better then please chime in.Mark@echo offecho .if not exist lax_001.bmp goto wrong_folderif not exist nconvert.exe goto no_convertersif not exist imagetool.exe goto no_convertersgoto March 26, 201016 yr Commercial Member I've used nconvert and some derivative of those batch files to convert just about everything in my FS installation. I even used a derivative of it to walk through my WOAI installation converting all the AI textures to 512 x 512, DXT3 with mips. How did you come up with your file list? Obviously if you run the command on a .bmp that's already 256 x 256 nconvert will scale it up rather than down using the '-resize 512 512' switch, and the result probably won't look too good in the sim so I'd suggest making sure that all the files in your batch are 1024x1024 to begin with if you haven't already. Note that you can also use '-resize 50% 50%' (or -resize 50%% 50%% if you're running the command from a batch file) and I've also found that adding '-sharpen 15' to the command line brings back some of the clarity that's typically lost when you resize an image. BTW, there is a 5.31 version of nconvert available, where typically only v5.3 is included with the FSDT converter utilities. I don't know if there's any difference between the two for our purposes, but I've been using the later version for everything I've done with it.Nconvert is the best kept secret out there for anyone who does anything with raster images. Type 'nconvert -help > nconvert_help.txt' to make yourself a "help file" and you'll be able to see exactly what this amazing freeware app is capable of. Have fun, I think I get more enjoyment out of messing with stuff like this than I do actually flying the sim. :( Jim

You can select all of the graphics files in a folder and then use its Menu Create -> File Listing... which will output all of the file information to Notepad using a number of different output parameters. I wanted the Filename, Size, and File Type. Since I only wanted to resize the 1024x1024 graphics to 512x512, I only selected those files. Then borrowed FSDreamTeam's resizer.bat and modified it for KLAX. I used what Umberto wrote as a road map and this is what I came up with. He did all of the hard work and I simply plagiarized him :)Mark
