March 31, 201016 yr Im pretty sure everyone knows the autothrottle problem when you merge the PSS 777 panel with the Overland model, but is there any solution yet? Or do i have to use the POSKY model, but that too has problems. Any updates on this?
April 1, 201016 yr Never had a problem with any of my merges. Including the PSS/Overland T7But I never alias panels, Which I believe is the wrong way to merge anything. If it was really that easy there wouldn't be 500 posts asking how to merge aircraft. You need to replace the Model within the PSS folder to the Overland one and edit the contact points as well as light cfg sections.Let me know if you need a hand. April 1, 201016 yr Author so what youre saying, that if i could get my auto throttle working, i have to put in the PSS model in for the overland one? im afraid i dont understand you quite clearly, anyways, i probably did use the alias panel, could this be a problem?
April 1, 201016 yr I've done alot of merges that people seem to have problems with. But like I said before, alot of those are done by simply alising the panels. You need to replace the PSS model with the Overland one,In the PSS folder. Edit the Contact Point/Lights section. This allows you to use the Overland exterior with PSS interior (Minus the VC, Don't use VC so I haven't bothered with it)You are also able to still use the Fuel Planner as well as the Load Editor correctly. April 1, 201016 yr Author now i get it, all i have to do is replace the PSS model with the overland one, modify the contact points andl ights, and im good to go, the autothrottle works right? PS: i have made a really good VC with the Overland model so that most PS gauges show up on the VC
April 1, 201016 yr Yes, I might add that you use the PSS.air file as well as the PSS.cfg file.BTW make sure you back everything up first,I just had a folder in the PSS one.I'll post the contact points and light section since I believe I had to fiddle with them.I use the Shockwave 3D light so you might have to replace the fx entry.Not Sure which Model you're trying to edit so here's the 200 & 300:200[contact_points]point.0=1, 85.82, 0.00, -19.38, 1181.1, 0, 3.500, 70.0, 0.83, 2.5, 0.7235, 3.2, 3.2, 0, 0.0, 0.0point.1=1, -9.50, -17.30, -19.90, 1574.8, 1, 4.167, 20.0, 0.91, 1.5, 0.7470, 6.9, 6.9, 2, 0.0, 0.0point.2=1, -9.50, 17.30, -19.90, 1574.8, 2, 4.167, 20.0, 0.91, 1.5, 0.7470, 7.1, 7.1, 3, 0.0, 0.0point.3=2, -10.17, -47.33, 0.00, 787.4, 0, 0.000, 0.0, 0.00, 0.0, 0.0000, 0.0, 0.0, 5, 0.0, 0.0point.4=2, -10.17, 47.33, 0.00, 787.4, 0, 0.000, 0.0, 0.00, 0.0, 0.0000, 0.0, 0.0, 6, 0.0, 0.0point.5=2, -83.33, 0.00, 2.50, 787.4, 0, 0.000, 0.0, 0.00, 0.0, 0.0000, 0.0, 0.0, 9, 0.0, 0.0point.6=2, 42.67, 0.00, -3.75, 787.4, 0, 0.000, 0.0, 0.00, 0.0, 0.0000, 0.0, 0.0, 4, 0.0, 0.0static_pitch=-.57static_cg_height=18.95gear_system_type=0[LIGHTS]light.1 = 2, -104.60, 0.00, 5.35, fx_shockwave_strobe ,light.2 = 1, 8.40, -0.01, -11.35, fx_shockwave_beaconb_l.fx ,light.3 = 1, 38.30, -0.01, 9.90, fx_shockwave_beaconh_l.fx ,light.4 = 3, -104.40, 0.00, 1.35, fx_shockwave_navwhi ,light.5 = 5, 33.50, 11.70, -5.0, fx_Shockwave_landing_light , light.6 = 5, 33.50, -11.70, -5.0, fx_Shockwave_landing_light , 300[contact_points]point.0=1, 90.42, 0.00, -19.70, 1181.1, 0, 4.521, 70.0, 1.23, 2.0, 0.7235, 4.0, 4.0, 0, 0.0, 0.0point.1=1, -18.50, -17.80, -20.95, 1574.8, 1, 4.521, 0.0, 1.91, 2.5, 0.7470, 6.9, 6.9, 2, 0.0, 0.0point.2=1, -18.50, 17.80, -20.95, 1574.8, 2, 4.521, 0.0, 1.91, 2.5, 0.7470, 7.1, 7.1, 3, 0.0, 0.0point.3=2, -10.17, -47.33, 0.00, 787.4, 0, 0.000, 0.0, 0.00, 0.0, 0.0000, 0.0, 0.0, 5, 0.0, 0.0point.4=2, -10.17, 47.33, 0.00, 787.4, 0, 0.000, 0.0, 0.00, 0.0, 0.0000, 0.0, 0.0, 6, 0.0, 0.0point.5=2, -83.33, 0.00, 2.50, 787.4, 0, 0.000, 0.0, 0.00, 0.0, 0.0000, 0.0, 0.0, 9, 0.0, 0.0point.6=2, 42.67, 0.00, -3.75, 787.4, 0, 0.000, 0.0, 0.00, 0.0, 0.0000, 0.0, 0.0, 4, 0.0, 0.0static_pitch=-.33static_cg_height=19.19gear_system_type=0[LIGHTS] //Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit, 5=landinglight.1 = 2, -116.90, 0.00, 5.30, fx_shockwave_strobe,light.2 = 1, 8.00, -0.01, -11.30, fx_shockwave_beaconb,//fx_beaconb ,light.3 = 1, 79.10, -0.01, 9.65, fx_shockwave_beaconh,//fx_beaconh ,light.4 = 3, -116.70, 0.00, 1.30, fx_shockwave_navwhi ,light.5 = 4, 113.1, 0, 7.0, fx_vclighthlight.6 = 5, 33.5, 12, -4.7, fx_shockwave_landing_light light.7 = 5, 33.5, -12, -4.7, fx_shockwave_landing_light Let me know how that works for you. April 3, 201016 yr Author hey man, i replaced everything andi used the PSS.air file + cfg and put in the overland model but nothing shows up on the FS9 menu, any ideas to what i did wrong? or missing?
April 3, 201016 yr Make sure your sim= entry in the cfg file points to the PSS files as well as your model type.Like So. April 4, 201016 yr Author everything works now and i got the merge right, but theres still one question, everytime i takeoof, theres almost a tail strike, is there anyway to boost engine preformance?
April 4, 201016 yr This merge should allow you to still use the Load editor, set your weights and check you CG%, set the trim properly and you should be good.Even loaded for Transatlantc I've never had problems. Clarke Kruger - CYEG
