April 4, 201016 yr Hello,I am just starting with 'painting'. As a start I wanted to correct minor part of existing .bmp file.I use adobe photoshop, made a small correction and wanted to save the file. It automatically saves that as .psd file. If I change the setting and try to save it as .bmp it seems to be incompatible with FS9 as the aircraft either does not work at all or has strage stripes and colour at the part which I changed.Any idea if I am doing something completely wrong or if I should save the adjusted file in some specific set-up format ?any recommendation will be very appreciated !many thanksJM Jan Maca maca11 using PMDG 747 v3 P3D v 4.3
April 4, 201016 yr Once you have done your edit you need to open it in DXTBmp and save as extended 32bit 888-8you can get DXTBmp here http://www.btinternet.com/~mnwright/programs/dxtbmp.htmIn fact you are better off opening the texture you wish to edit with DXT and then send it to your editor .do your own edits or adjustments then save and import back to DXT .That way you will retain any Alpha layer that has been created with the original texture
