April 4, 201016 yr HELP!!!!I just got FSG 2010. I have uninstalled FSG08 for FS9 then installed FSG 2010 for FS9, I started FS9 and looked in the scenery library and no FSG2010. I tried manual addition of scenery areas but it fail. How do I fix this without yet another fraking formatting of HD and reinstalling everything "AGAIN". ThanksBest Regards,77L

April 4, 201016 yr Did you add those folders to the scenery library? It does not happen automatically as I recall with FSG8. Be sure you add it with the ADD function browsing to those folders. If you can't browse to those folders then see if those folders were created and those folders are not empty. Also if on VISTA or Win 7 and those folders including FS9 are under a Program Files folder, you must have FSX set to run as an admin and you must be an admin or the various FSX settings including the scenery settings will not run/update correctly. Your FSG10 installer also must be run with an admin setting and you must be an admin to insure proper folders are created and files decompressed into them.

In the FSG10 folder it looks as though all files are decompressed. When I try to add the scenery into the scenery library (using add) it asks for directory then scenery name which I enter, then press open. I then find my self in looking at the scenery folder for example NAM, but when i hit open all the fields go blank. If I try to manually input the info nothing happens. I am stumped. An odd side not, my fuel tanks at KSEA have moved away from the airport to the south south east by about 1.0nm...was not there before?
April 4, 201016 yr You don't get a screen like I've attached?Be sure you are logged in as an admin besides setting FS9 to run as admin.Don't browse to the nam/scenery folder, just the NAM folder and it should fill in.These files/folders may have been transferred as read only. Go into each as an admin with explorer or my computer making sure they are not marked as hidden (right click) nor read only. Finally be sure you installed the FS9 version from the DVDs since both are included I believe.http://www.fsglobal2010.com/indexA.htm has a link to their support forum available after you register their product on their forum. You can get here http://www.fsim.net/fsglobal2010/s9.htm without registering.Sometimes when you uninstall folders are left with no files but you say they are in there. If you installed FSGlobal2010 under you FS Addon Scenery folder I'd uninstall it and give a root folder under the drive letter such as x:\FSGlobal2010\ so if you look with explorer you'd have x:\FSGlobal2010\NAM\scenery\xxxx.bgl. Get it put of any Program Files tree and see what happens.

I can not add from there. I am reinstalling FSG2010 as the Admin, I have picked FS9 install version. We will see where we go from here. Happy Easter Thanks.Best Regards,Jon
