Wilco E-Jets & FsNav

Featured Replies

Is there a way I can activate FsNav to be used as Autopilot with the Wilco E-Jets?I do know there is a great built in FMC and all, however I love FsNav, with the lack of reality, but I find it great for the use I give to FS2004.I would love to hear that there is a way around FsNav and Wilco E-Jets, without the need to use the FMC. If anyone out there can help me to achieve FsNav as AP in this aircraft I would really appreciate it, a lot!Thank you very much in advance;Sincerely.ECR.-

Yes it can be done! I have just taken a test flight from Munich to Stuttgart and also landed at Stuttgart.1. Set yourself at the dep Rwy and load your FSNav plan.2. Set Hdg to runway heading3. Set Alt to 1st waypoint alt and speed to say 213.4. Click "1st bearing source" button (left hand side of a/p panel)5. Set Speed Knob to "Manual" - click on top right of speed button so it turns to "Manual"6. Set FD on.Take off & rotate at say 120- gear up at 10deg (flaps up later)1. Click on A/T, AP, Hdg hold button, Alt hold button2. Press Shift + F9 to engage FSNav.FSNav should now take over.Annunciator should show SPDt,AP,AT,HDG,ALT.If you want to see your route on the MFD you would need to load your flight plan from Flight Planner menu - (click on NO to go to) and in the FMC NAV >flt plan 6Rflt plan>2L Load>Activate. On approach to your Dest airport have you Radio set to correct ILS freq and turn off FSNav (Shift + F9). Click on APP button on A/P panel. You should now be able to land in the normal way.You will need to reduce speed manually, lower gear and flaps as speed permits.I hope you have the enlarged Autopilot panel - much easier to read the knobs - Available on the forum at http//forum.iemit.com -PIC EMB.Happy flying. Let me know how you get on.Ken Fairbanks

I do not have the enlarge, but I will get it right away!If others have more ideas please share it with us.Thank you very much!!!
