Win 7 and FSX

Featured Replies

HiTomorrow my XP system will be changed with 7, The main Hard Disk will be a new one, completely clean while my present one will be installed as a secondary disk (which contains lots of data, including FSX)I'm planning to have several present programs installed on the new disk (always including FSX)Will windows 7 recognise all of the installed programs on the present disk if I don't uninstall them? I mean, will I have to uninstall every program on my old disk before system change and then reinstall them on the new disk? Also, are there any issues about installing FSX from scratch on Windows 7?Thanks for any help!

In most cases you will have to reinstall, to get all the registry settings in place on Windows 7. There is no need to uninstall in XP, though - just delete the old folders when you are up and running on Windows 7, or keep them around as backup if you have enough disk space.

I have not seen a post in the Windows 7 forum for quite awhile, and even though it does exist, not sure anyone really pays attention to it.Bob G
