Is the ash cloud from the volcano in Iceland showing up in the weather data? Curious if it's read as cloud cover in the data feeds you get.

Hi Bob,Probably not because it is not a ground event, except in Iceland. If any of the Iceland airports are affected, it would be in the form of lower visibility that FS can model. However there is a METAR code for Volcanic ash----VA. But again, we might report it, but FS would have no idea what to do with that code.It is not cloud cover even in Europe because it is invisible.
