April 19, 201016 yr Hello all!Sorry if I'm not in the right category ..I downloded the FSTUTORIELS's Cessna 150 [ wich is very good !! ] but I'm disappointed by the default sound of the engine .. My question is just : do you know good sound files for the Continental O-200 engine ?I sought in the library but without result .Thanks for you answers !!
April 21, 201016 yr HelloYou can replace the sounds in your sound folder with others also. Just copy and place them in the sound folder of the particular aircraft. Rename the new sound the same as the sound you are replacing . Cut and paste the old sound in a folder outside of fs,first, then place the new sound into the aircraft/sound folder with the same name as the old one you took out. At least that has worked for me on a couple of planes I re-did the sound on. It isn't realistic but it enhanced the sound to my liking. Hope that helps, some

April 22, 201016 yr @drycos1 : thank for your advice!@John F. : yes I tried it .. it's mutch better than the default sound !Good bye!I thought I'd better follow up on my previous post.Before attempting any sound modification, like I posted, BACKUP the default aircraft sound folder.Although I've had the method I described work a while back, it doesn't always work. :( I just tried putting bell 206 sounds in the DYNALI helicopter and the method I described didn't work at all. :( I would have to make another sound.cfg for the aircraft/sound, for the method to work.Always make a backup before trying to make any modification. That way you can always go back.I'm glad you found some sounds you like. :(
