April 24, 201016 yr Ok Don't shoot me for asking a question that's probably been answered but I can't find it in the search. I'm not a noob, so I know I'm not asking an off the wall question, but I just wonder if there is any kind of fix for the issue I'm having. My problem is in FS9 and FSX when flying the default jets, on descent with autothrottle engaged if you need to pop the spoilers to slow down, autothrottle advances to near full thrust increasing speed which is not right. About the only way a scenario like that should happen is on an Airbus bird when the flight computers initiates TOGA for Alpha Floor protection in Normal Law.So does anyone know of a fix or a work around or aircraft.cfg edit to stop this from happening??? Yes I know I should be flying other stuff that isn't default blah blah blah, but some of the missions, default/freeware/payware use some of the default birds, and really they aren't that bad to fly. Trust me, I love my PMDG 737NG and 747 which act correctly regarding spoilers and autothrottle, but there isn't a PMDG 737NG yet for FSX :)Thanks :)
April 24, 201016 yr Are you saying that you reduce the airspeed required in the autopilot and then, to assist the aircraft slowing down to reach that speed, you deploy the spoilers? And that is when the aircraft applies full power?

And that is when the aircraft applies full power?Basically yes, or when descending to a lower altitude and needing to keep the aircraft at it's current speed
April 25, 201016 yr Av8ist,The auto pilot systems in the stock FSX aircraft behave horribly and the behavior you describe is correct for the stock aircraft. Why not get the PMDG 747 for FSX to hold you over until the 737 is ready? It would be alot less frustrating. ;)Regards,Bob

And yes the autopilot works fine there, as well as in other payware and freeware birds as I mentioned at the top of my post. I was just wondering if there was a fix out there so I can fly the 737-800 on some flights, as well as fly the missions. I bought a few mission paks that use the default birds and it'd be nice to slow down leaving the autothrottle engaged while popping the spoilers as need be.
