This is an email I got in response to a request to remove my files. I honestly have no real suspicion that Ferdy wanted to participate in any kind of CD-ROM production with freeware files, he just probably didn't research his mirror server's policies too thoroughly. "I am VOLFTP site administrator and I would like to reassure Milos and all other authors that VOLFTP's FSPLANET.COM mirror is not included in the authors' policy, right because it is a mirror and files are NOT directly uploaded by the authors. For this reason VOLFTP will never publish a CD-ROM without asking the direct authorization to the authors of Flight Simulator files.Franco Saiu"Misha

Of course they do hold files that should not have been uploaded to them in the first place, I am guessing that they would hold Ferdy responsible for that !!!

I agree Gazzareth. VOLFTP is not without culpibilty here. They're reassurances that no author's work will be illegally distributed for profit comes up short. They continue to dodge the issue of holding files not uploaded to their site by the authors. At least they're ahead of Ferdy on one issue... they actually have an upload section. Wonder how many folks in this hobby have personally uploaded their creations to VOLFTP?Regards,
