April 27, 201016 yr Greetings,I used AS years ago and always ran into problems with setting the destination weather. After a while I finally gave up and put AS away. Today I decided to resurrect AS and see if I can get it to work. There must be something I'm doing wrong. So here is my vision:ASEsp1 is installed on a network computer using WideClient. The FS computer is using FS9. I want to open my filghtplan, process it in ASE, then set the weather manually at certain waypoints. Then set the super duper IFR weather at the destination airport. I do this by using the "Wx Config" section. Once the weather is set I want to close ASE and not open it again until I do another flight. Currently my aircraft is in pause mode at 5000' at the glideslope capture point for KGEG RWY 21. I've set the weather to be overcast at 2500' with a 2000' thinkness and stratus clouds. ASE is running on the network computer. As I look at the weather right now it's not even close to what I ordered. It's got some clouds at 10k'. I suspect it might be getting weather downloaded from somewhere else, because no matter what I put for KGEG, it never changes. Ever. I've clicked every damn button at least twice, rebooted the computer, kicked the cat, restarted FS twice, clicked "Weather Settings off", and still nothing. I don't use the Graphic options at all. Anybody have some suggestions that I can try? I've looked at the documentation, but do see anything that I might have missed as far as configuration.I appreciate any feedback.Thanks,-Matt
April 27, 201016 yr Hi,ASE must stay open and running. With AS and FS running, is the weather theme in FS automatically set to User Defined?
April 28, 201016 yr Author Hi,ASE must stay open and running. With AS and FS running, is the weather theme in FS automatically set to User Defined?Greetings Jim,When I checked the weather in FS was set to User Defined. Do I need to ensure that is selected when the Sim starts?Thanks,-Matt
April 29, 201016 yr Matt,Based on your other posts, please do not try and use Online Mode and the wx Config screen at the same time. Just try a flight using ASE in Online mode and see what happens.
