April 28, 201016 yr i've been kicking this idea around in my head for quite some time now, and i decided this would be the best place to express this idea. Also, i didn't get much in the fs9 section, and given that some of you are programmers, you may be able to explain the logistics a little but more in depth. So here's the idea: FS9 single player ATC. Now obviously, this is a pretty big thing. I understand. But is it at all possible? Even if it's payware, i would pay some SERIOUS $ for a payware fs single player ATC! :( But what i was thinking is like a tower view, and you could control the aircraft. I mean there are AI separators and programs that put more aircraft in holding patterns, and i know that's some simple coding for those programs. But just simple "left/right X degrees, maintain x altitude, cleared to land take off for FS. I mean i know logistically it's complicated, but i mean oh my gosh, i would absolutely die if this became reality. Like you can actually view the aircraft, and good graphics, add on airlines. Please, please leave some responses.
May 6, 201016 yr Commercial Member Not sure i understand your idea. But if you mean interacting with ATC via voice, there are already such add-ons.http://www.multicrewxp.com Does other things besides FSX and FS9 ATCGerald. R. Gerald R https://www.multicrewxp.com

R.More like actually telling a plane what to do. like tower sim, but the base of the game is FS
June 11, 201015 yr Commercial Member It actually wouldnt be that hard at all and I'm not sure why it hasnt been done. It's not hard to write code that tells a plane where and how to fly (well for these purposes at least, for it to be very precise and realistic to the plane then it is VERY hard to do). Im not an add-on developer so I dont know if maybe there is a limitation to the FS SDK to this. I'm actually writing an ATC simulator right now, but from the TRACON perspective as opposed to the tower environment. Noah Bryant
