FSX scenery.cfg file Entries

Featured Replies

I was going through my FSX scenery.cfg file looking for duplicates and missing file pointers and I found three sections that pointed to folders in the main FSX\Scenery\scenery folder. If the associated files are in the main scenery directory, do I need a pointer to those items. I don't know the origins of these sections but I thought it strange that there were pointers to the main scenery folder.ThanksFrank

There is no \<FSX install>\Scenery\scenery folder as part of an installation. Some add on may create it and use it as an active layer. Most any folder name and location is valid with the required \scenery sub-folder and if needed, a \texture sub-folder.

I'm sorry, but I think I put too many "scenery" folders in there. The references I am talking about are in the main FSX\Scenery folder. For example:UT USAUT EuropeSASceneryFSXAeroworxLCCities, etc.Anyway, I think I answered my own question. Looking at the scenery.cfg file, I see a reference to every folder in the FSX\Scenery directory. So, I guess I do need a pointer to all the folders. Thanks for your response.fb
