FMC / FMS Update

Featured Replies

HelloJust wondering if anyone could confirm I understand correctly please.....I have the LVLD 767 (AIRAC 0701)PMDG 747 (AIRAC 0808)PMDG J41 (NA as do not use it)Lately I am getting more and more "not in database" in France and Poland when programming waypoints & routes in to the FMS / FMC.After browsing the web and forums I understand the following is required to rectify the problem and that you need to pay for it. 1Go to this page http://www.navigraph.com/www/fmsdata.asp2After buting credit for 10 Euro then download both the Level D and PMDG packs.3Then install the updates. So my questions is will the above steps sort out the problem of "not in database" or do I need to do more than what I have listed above? Also, Do you have to pay for the priviege? am I paying for the most up to date and can you get for example 6 month old updates for free? Thanks in advanceLawrence

That should do it. I assume that the navigraph waypoint database is complete in Eastern Europe - I only fly in Western Europe and North America.

Uh, well, that's a big area. For airports, Aerosoft has a bunch (especially for Germany). They range in quality from good to excellent. FSDreamTeam has done Zurich and Geneva, both of which are fantastic. UK2000's Heathrow is great, and they've done a number of other UK airports which I don't have. If you spend most of your time in Europe, you should probably get UTX Europe. I don't have it, but I do have UTX USA, and it makes a big difference. You might want to take a look at GEX Europe as well - again, I have the North American version which is pretty good. I don't know if any of that helps.
